Dialogic Reading in history

As the novelist Davide Amante, who helped us develop this website and supervised its contents, observed in an interesting article of his, Dialogic Reading is actually a very ancient tool that we have only recently codified into a method and dedicated a large scientific literature to it.
In fact, the writer Davide Amante attributes the origin of Dialogic Reading to the ancient Greek Rhapsodies and demonstrates that it is a common element of many civilizations.
As the author explains, the ancient Greek Rhapsode recited epic poetry in very specific ways and the origin of the term ‘Rhapsode’ is rhàptein (sewing) and oidè (singing).
